Queen Anne / George I Giltwood and Gesso Looking Glass
The draw of this mirror is undoubtably the heavily foxed 300 year old “ghost” mirror plate.
The frame is carved and gilt pine and gesso highlighted by the central shell motif common from the period. The depth of the carving is impressive.
